This clip is taken from one of my classes, highlighting the Kriya for the Nervous and Glandular System. This clip includes only the Kriya itself (no warm-up, meditation, or rest pose). If you have a space where you can practice this kriya, give yourself a moment of quiet before you begin, if possible. It’s best not to complete this exercise on a full stomach.
The Kriya for the Nervous and Glandular System focuses on reducing stress, strengthening the nervous system, and activating the glandular system to help manage change.
This Kriya consists of 4 poses, fully seated. You are more than welcome to bring blankets, pillows, blocks, and any other props to your practice to help you be as comfortable as possible.
There is no need to focus on perfecting any poses. This practice is about meeting yourself where you are, meaning — do what feels right in your body, notice what comes up, try to sit with any sensations without trying to change them, if anything feels like pain – stop, if something feels like a sensation you feel you can explore within the 3-minute pose – explore and allow it. At the end of the video, feel free to relax into Shavasana, or Corpse Pose, and allow the hard work to integrate into your system.
