My Journey with Kundalini

In 2017, I began diving into a spiritual and health journey. I was introduced to various modalities, including Reiki, shamanic journeying, soul retrievals, shadow work, internal family systems, EFT tapping, and daily meditation. At the time, it was exactly what I needed. Though as I worked through different levels of healing, I kept hitting walls in my body that looked like pain, irritation, frustration, and exhaustion.

I had always practiced yoga on and off since high school, but it was never anything more than an attempt to achieve greater flexibility. When a friend asked if I wanted to join her in a practice she was leading in Kundalini yoga, I said yes because I trusted her and have always been open to trying new things to improve my mind and body. After that first experience, I was intrigued and found myself practicing with her teacher on a somewhat regular basis.

A year had passed, a 180-day practice in the books, and I was pretty sold on Kundalini. I had witnessed in myself an ability to be in my body like never before. I was very accustomed to dissociation, so an embodiment practice had been low on my list of resources. Kundalini was the first practice where I could sit in hard postures, challenging my nervous system while building and strengthening it, rather than putting it in a constant state of activation, overstimulation, and exhaustion.

As I dove deeper into my own Kundalini practice and decided to earn my 200-hour teacher certification, Kundalini became an outlet for me to not only go more inward and create a stronger relationship with myself, but also to develop a new relationship with my body. Kundalini yoga helped me build a relationship with myself where I could finally see myself fully and truly. My exhaustion started to lessen, and the chronic pains I had been experiencing began to loosen their grip and dissipate over time.

Why Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini yoga works on the energetic, physical, and spiritual levels. Through breathwork, meditation, and movement, the ability to dive to new levels of consciousness and awareness becomes available. It doesn't need to be practiced every day to feel its effects. It's a doorway to new versions of self that may have been closed off by conditioning and learned beliefs. For me, it was the catalyst to new adventures, greater vitality, and a true joy for living.

That's why I offer 1:1 Kundalini and coaching sessions, aiming to support you in experiencing what you need to reshape your relationship with your mind, body, and soul.

Whether that’s through food, movement, or meditation, I’m here to support you in your own personal journey.
